7 Ways to Use Your Scarf

Ashley Lundgren

1. Add interest.

Wearing a plain t-shirt and jeans? Add a scarf to create that extra oomph your outfit needs.

2. Impromtu tissue.

Ever find yourself at the park on a crisp fall day and there are no tissues in sight? Why not use the end of your scarf to wipe your little one’s nose? I know, a little bit of eewww factor here, but it washes out, and hey, a mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do.

3. New look.

Glam up an old purse by tying a scarf on the handle. It will dress it up and make it look more fun. Hey, where’d you get that new purse?

4. Nursing cover.

Do yourself a favor and carry one fewer thing in the diaper bag today. You’re welcome.

5. Wrap or shawl.

Date night arrives and it’s not quite jacket weather? Use your scarf to cover your shoulders. Classic elegance minus the chill factor.

6. Bed head fix.

You are running late to preschool (again!) and just don’t have the time to do your hair. Tie a scarf around your chin like a bonnet for a girlie look or like a bandana for an edgier look. No one will know you haven’t showered in five days.

7. Belt.

Take a long scarf and thread the corner through your belt loops. Finish the look with either a bow on the side or a knot with the ends tucked underneath.
