DIY Watercolor Mugs

Hello Dearest

There is something about a handmade item that transforms it from the ordinary into a treasure. Whether you labor over making something unique from your home or someone gives you a personalized gift — the value becomes exponentially higher.

Amy and Joey added extra meaning when they made mugs with their 2 ½-year-old triplets, Evelyn, Jesslyn and Levi! Make the mugs with friends or your kids for your own extra-special memories.

 You’ll need

porcelain mug   +   porcelain paint   +   paintbrushes   +   water   +   oven

    1. Take a wet paintbrush and dip it into your color of choice. The more water you add, the more your color will run.
    2. Begin painting your mug. Start at the top and let your paint drip down.
    3. Allow mug to dry completely and remove all stickers from the mug (even the bottom).
  1. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, and you have a beautiful handmade mug for drinking, holding jewelry or even for serving food. No matter what the use, they will represent the special moment you shared being creative.
