Threads of Service

Noël Miller

Every day my husband serves me and our family in a hundred little ways. From waking with the children so that I can get more rest to changing diapers; from washing dishes to doing the work that supports our family, these threads of service run throughout our days. They are the inhale-exhale of a marriage, love in action, and each act of service calls forth affection and the desire to serve in return. Every cup of iced coffee, each flower, every nighttime prayer is a stitch that binds us ever closer together.
